The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation, Study Set

I thought I knew the Bible, but when I did this study I found I had missed so much, The breakdowns of the different times between events really helped me to better understand the who and what was happening. I would tell anyone who wants to better understand the Bible to take this course. I am sure I will go through it many more times.

This was God thing I’m sitting here watching Old Testament patriarch on Jeff Caven‘s Bible timeline show with Mary Healy, and I get a text from you for a review on the Bible timeline. I’m in my second class on Bible and the timeline maybe third did the short and the long courses. I’ve done Bible in the year twice. And I can’t thank you enough for everything that you have done in helping me grow in understanding the Bible. It is a fabulous program that every Catholic should encounter.

I have done a number of bible studies of specific books of the bible. I have found this study to be the best of any I have done.
It ties the entire Bible together in a continuing story of our history, intertwining the old and new testaments in such a way that I wanted to learn more about the Old Testament than ever before. It also gives rise to such an appreciation for our biblical ancestors. Jeff Cavins does a wonderful job of explaining our role in this continuing history of the Church, and our need to openly carry on this role.

The year was 2013. Our new Adult Faith Formation Director arrived and brought with her the Bible Timeline study. We were a group of about 15 It was good. But now, facilitating a group of 36 it is excellent. People are hungering to learn about the Bible. Spending 17 weeks on the Old Testament provides a sound foundation for the arrival of Christ. We are learning the profound impact of the Old Testament as it reveals the New Covenant to us. We are having excellent discussions while we review the questions. Jeff does a very good job of revealing even more in the videos. We are now entering the New Testament as we enter the third week of Lent. All in God’s perfect timing. Thank you for a great study.

I've been overwhelmed by trying to understand Scripture for years, and Mr. Cavins helped me get into it easily. This program was like having an experienced trail guide through a difficult mountain passage - it became much easier once you're shown the way! And then that gave me the "bravery" and tools I needed to start to study more, and in depth.

For instance, I also have supplemented this study with Bergsma / Pitre's book, "A Catholic Introduction to the Bible" which allowed me to take a detour and go in depth in certain books / chapters. (Sorry for recommending a non-Ascension book - hope that's ok) I wouldn't have dug into this without the Bible Timeline program....

Thanks for the great work, the visuals, the workbook, and the great lectures. Mr. Cavins is to be commended for his work in bringing people closer to Scripture!
